About this project
Do you live in Burnaby and find it tough to cover your expenses? You are not alone. Over 33,000 Burnaby residents have very low incomes and struggle to pay for housing, food, transportation, child care and other expenses.
The City of Burnaby is working with Burnaby Neighbourhood House, Burnaby Family Life and other organizations to develop a strategy to reduce poverty in our city. Low income (after-tax) for one person may be $20,590 or less per year; for a family of four people, it may be less than $48,553. This project supports the Province’s broader poverty reduction strategy, TogetherBC.
