The City completed the Burnaby Poverty Reduction Strategy to help reduce poverty at a local level and support the Province’s poverty reduction strategy, TogetherBC. The project was co led by Burnaby Neighbourhood House, Burnaby Family Life, in collaboration with other community organizations.

As part of the engagement process, the City conducted a survey in fall 2024 for people who have lived or living experience of poverty in Burnaby. Community feedback played a key role in shaping the strategy. Please read the engagement summary What We Heard report.
